Big Brother star Lateysha Grace reveals her baby was rushed to hospital

Big Brother star Lateysha Grace has taken her daughter, Layke, to the hospital.

The 30-year-old reality star took to social media on Wednesday to tell her fans that her 10-month-old daughter had fallen ill a week earlier but had deteriorated and spent three days in hospital after to give him oxygen.

Lateysha said: ‘Thanks for all the messages guys! Layke has been sick for over a week but he got pretty bad so we came to the hospital and we have been here for 3 days.

“I think we’ll go home today, but we need to come back in a few days to get antibiotics through his cannula and get some test results and go from there.

‘Ps, if you think there is something wrong with your baby, please act accordingly, don’t worry about being ‘too much’ or ‘annoying’.

‘Remember that we know them better than anyone and we know when something is not right. Once again, thanks for the well wishes and prayers, it means a lot xx.’

Lateysha, who appeared on Big Brother in 2016, has been having a difficult time with her daughter, who was born prematurely at just 34 weeks.

She was diagnosed with preeclampsia during her pregnancy.

Preeclampsia is a condition that affects some pregnant women, usually during the second half of pregnancy (starting at 20 weeks) or shortly after delivery.

Early signs of preeclampsia include having high blood pressure (hypertension) and protein in the urine (proteinuria).

Lateysha is also the mother of a daughter named Wynter from her relationship with her ex Ben Charles.

Doting mother: Lateysha also shared a screenshot of all the messages she had sent throughout the night.

She has kept the identity of her current boyfriend and Layke’s father a secret.

In March, Lateysha revealed her heartbreak after she had to leave her baby boy in neonatal intensive care after giving birth.

But she was soon able to bring her baby home, writing: ‘What a roller coaster it has been, thanks to everyone who sent messages of support throughout the whole experience! You honestly don’t understand how much it helped me.

‘And thanks to the NICU staff, they were absolutely amazing. I’m excited for this next chapter with my little fighter.
