Queen Letizia of Spain looked effortlessly chic as she bundled up in a camel coat in Madrid today.

The 50-year-old European monarch was photographed arriving at a meeting at the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases in the country’s capital.

The mother-of-two opted for a stylish long-line outerwear piece, which she wore over a pair of black and white checked trousers.

She then paired this with tan knit pointy shoes and a sleek black leather bag.

Keeping her makeup natural and radiant, Letizia smoothed her shoulder-length hair down for her engagement today.

She then finished off her outfit with some pretty gold earrings.

The Queen of Spain works closely with the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases and attended its 25th anniversary celebration last year.

Over the weekend, the Queen of Spain flew to Athens with her husband, King Philip, to attend the funeral of King Constantine II of Greece.

The European royal, 50, completed her outfit with a tan knit and minimal black accessories.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia greeted the mourning family of King Constantine II yesterday before heading inside the church for the funeral.

The royal couple greeted King Constantine’s grieving son, Crown Prince Pavlos, on the steps of the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral.

For the somber occasion, Letizia styled her hair into a sleek updo and opted for minimal jewelry to offset her tailored black dress.

The royal, whose father Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez and stepmother Ana Togores are journalists, met her husband King Felipe when she was asked to interview him at his job as a reporter.

Letizia’s media career was long and began with a period in the Asturian newspaper La Nueva España.

Then came a role at ABC, a popular national newspaper that enjoys the third largest circulation in Spain, before spells at EFE and the Guadalajara-based Mexican publication Siglo 21.

A year later, back in Spain, he worked for the Spanish version of Bloomberg, a news channel and agency specializing in economics, before moving to CNN+.

When she met her future husband, Letizia worked for the popular television channel 24 Horas, where she presented the popular evening newscast Telediario 2.
