And, 24-year-old Love Island’s Kai Fagan was mocked by viewers for using the term ‘wife for life’ before switching between three single women during the first couple of the series.
Semi-pro rugby told new presenter Maya Jama that he entered the South African village looking for the real deal, but fans of the show were quick to call him out for using the catchphrase ’embarrassing’.

On Twitter, viewers didn’t hold back, with one writing: ‘”Wife for Life” the way I LOVED #LoveIsland,” while another admitted: “”Wife for Life” I just threw up my dinner thanks babe x #LoveIsland. ‘
Are you looking for a wife on Love Island? Stop lyingggggg through your pearl caps mate,’ another person pleaded, while another person insisted: ‘sorry but the boys are so dry on love island, a grown man saying ‘wife for life’. ‘
‘This “wife 4 life” thing better not be the catchphrase of this series. I will not tolerate 8 weeks of grown men talking like teenagers. #LoveIsland’, a viewer raged.

After insisting to Maya Jama that he was on Love Island to find ‘the one’, Kai stepped forward and was paired with Anna-May Robey.
He quickly got back together with ring girl Olivia Hawkins, when she ‘stole’ him while making her selection, even though Kai hadn’t stepped up for her.
Kai then abandoned Olivia stepping forward towards Tanyel Revan, who selected him out of all the men in the village.
One: after insisting to Maya Jama that he was on Love Island to find ‘the one’, Kai stepped forward and was paired with Anna-May Robey.
Two: He quickly got back together with ring girl Olivia Hawkins, when she ‘stole’ him while making her pick, even though Kai hadn’t stepped up for her.
Three: Kai then ditched Olivia by stepping up for Tanyel Revan, who selected him out of all the men in the village.
Before enrolling at Love Island, the Manchester-born Kai worked as a science and physical education teacher, and also played semi-professional rugby for Burnage RFC.
Explaining why he decided to go to Love Island, Kai said that he hopes to find real feelings with another woman, as they will be spending a lot of time together in the villa.
While many viewers first discovered Kai when he entered the Love Island villa, this wasn’t the first time he had a brush with the celebrity world.
