A woman who flew to Las Vegas with 13 of her friends to mark their divorce with a ‘newlywed party’ said it ‘brought Adele to tears’ when the singer saw the bachelorette celebrating.
Rebecca Feinglos, 33, decided to ‘celebrate’ the end of her marriage with a divorce party, calling for an end to the ‘failed marriage talk’.
“Let’s celebrate leaving relationships that are not good for you,” she said.
After her six-year marriage officially ended, the full-time writer and 13 of her best friends flew from Durham, North Carolina to Las Vegas in December and enjoyed “a weekend of fun.”

Rebecca and her husband decided to divorce during lockdown, after she lost her parents and reassessed what she wanted in life.
He realized that he was ‘unhappy’.
“It became clear to me that the marriage I was in was no longer serving me,” she explained. “I decided to end that marriage, which was the most serious decision I’ve ever made. It was incredibly difficult, but I’m proud of it.”
After the death of her parents, she was struck by the pain that ‘all of us faced’.
After walking around the theater and meeting fans, Adele took the stage and gave a short speech about Rebecca.
“I realized that I was unhappy,” he said. “I was exhausted, I was really in pain.”
Once she got back to work, Rebecca decided to take a year off what she calls her ‘bereavement leave.’
He traveled, wrote and ‘documented his journey’ while learning about his own feelings. Rebecca also provided resources to help others going through the same thing.
Once her divorce was finalized, she wanted to get all her friends together and thank them for supporting her.

“As soon as those papers were signed, we started planning,” he admitted. ‘It was a fun weekend, bringing together an incredible group of women.
“We all got together for dinner beforehand and we all went to the show.”
She donned a tiara reading ‘Divorced Babe’ and the group hit the streets: hitting the spa, eating, bar-hopping and riding in a stuffy hummer, before heading to superstar Adele’s residence at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. .
The singer noticed the group in the crowd and realized why they were there after seeing a sign Rebecca had made that read, “You helped me get through my divorce.”
She donned a tiara reading ‘Divorced Babe’ and the group hit the streets: hitting the spa, eating, bar-hopping and riding in a stuffy hummer, before heading to superstar Adele’s residence at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. .
Adele broke down in tears onstage, telling Rebecca and the audience: “I know all about heartbreak.” That you bring all your friends is very touching for me.
Rebecca said the trip made her want to bring back the word divorce and now she is focusing on herself and building ‘authentic and loving’ relationships.
“It was a fun weekend, bringing together an amazing group of women,” Rebecca said. I threw myself a honeymoon party in Las Vegas with my closest friends.
He explained that divorce is a ‘long, emotional and stressful process’- and pointed out that while we are talking about the ‘trauma from toxic relationships’, we don’t get ‘real’ about the end of marriages.

“It can also be traumatic,” Rebecca said of the divorce. “Mine certainly was and I’m so glad it’s over.”
The writer also echoed Adele’s advice, which the star said after an emotional performance last month: “Keep your friends close to you, because they’re better than any man.”

“It was a symbolic way to celebrate my divorce,” she added. “That album ’30’ was emblematic for me, it came at the exact moment when I was separating from my ex-husband.”

“It was a pretty incredible moment and I think if there wasn’t someone to film, I don’t know if I would believe it,” the writer said.
“Within the immediate term, it was clear to me that this is a moment of connection, I also connected with the audience: people were coming up to us and talking to us after the show.
“They were saying really positive sweet things, there was a lot of ‘you go girls’. I didn’t expect it. I didn’t know how much they would support me in this moment of celebration at this really difficult time in my life.”
