Wolves have reached a £15m deal for Brazilian midfielder Joao Gomes from Flamengo.

It comes hand in hand with the signing of Mario Lemina from Nice, having previously signed Matheus Cunha on loan from Atlético Madrid earlier in the window.

The club is also about to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Pablo Sarabia, who will join over the weekend for around £4m plus add-ons.

Gomes has been a regular for the Brazilian team since making his debut in October 2020 and has already won several honors at club level, including the Copa Libertadores.

The 21-year-old is likely to play for Molineux in the near future despite revealing his desire to play for Liverpool in September.

Gomes has already won several honors in his young career, including the Copa Libertadores.

Gomes told ESPN: Liverpool is a team I would play for. I have the greatest desire to play.

“Playing in the Champions League is my biggest football dream.”

Liverpool, despite their midfield woes, have not looked for a move, unlike Newcastle who were keeping an eye on the midfielder.

However, the Magpies, who sit third in the table, decided not to make a move for Gomes.

Wolves are also finalizing terms to complete a deal to sign Mario Lemina from Nice for £9m.

A move to Wolves for Sarabia would see the 30-year-old midfielder link up again with his former manager, Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui managed Sarabia to the European Under-19 Championship in 2011 and named the midfielder his captain for the tournament.

The couple crossed paths again in 2019 at Sevilla. They ended up spending a month together before Sarabia joined Paris Saint-Germain.

Sarabia has struggled to cement his place in PSG’s starting XI, having only made 98 appearances since joining in 2019.

However, he thrived on loan at Sporting Lisbon last year. He scored 21 goals in 45 games with the Portuguese team.

The Spanish international was also selected for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but it was a tournament to forget.

He came on as a substitute during their round of 16 loss to Morocco and was unable to find the back of the net during their epic penalty shootout.
