A driver was stunned after finding a note in his car warning him of an uninvited guest lurking at his wheel.
David Mantellini had been shopping at Coles in Manly, on Sydney’s northern beaches, when he returned to his vehicle on Monday.
About 50 people were gathered around the car and a note had been left under the windshield wiper.

“Hello car owner, there is a piton on the left front wheel,” it read. The jewelers across the street are trying to contact wildlife rescue.
Mr. Mantellini checked the tire to find the reptile sticking out of the hubcap.
The heartbreaking discovery couldn’t have come at a worse time for Mr. Mantelli, who had just welcomed his second daughter, Olivia, five days earlier.
His wife Nicola had just been released from the hospital and the couple intended to present the newborn to their sister Luna that day.
“He was faced with the dilemma of waiting for the rescue of an animal or going to look for our daughter,” Mantellini said. 9News.
Quick-thinking locals helped him out, and the nearby sushi restaurant kept the car key until the police arrived.
“Another lady put our car seat in her car so picking up the toddlers and introducing the new baby could go as planned.”
The snake was collected by wildlife experts before being released at North Head.
