Former President Donald Trump has called his rape accuser, E. Jean Carroll, “mentally ill” and “crazy,” according to a newly released statement.
According to the transcript, Trump said under oath: “She said I did something to her that never happened.” There was nothing. I don’t know anything about this crazy job.
The deposition happened in October 2022. In another stretch, the 2024 presidential candidate said: ‘I don’t know anything about her. I think she’s sick, mentally sick. Trump went on to say that her accuser “wasn’t her type.”
The release of excerpts from the statement came on the same day that federal judge Lewis A. Kaplan also rejected a request by Trump’s lawyers to dismiss two lawsuits by Carroll for defamation and rape. A trial is planned in April.
In releasing the transcript, Kaplan called Trump’s legal team’s arguments to uphold the seal “totally baseless.”

In his one-day testimony, he repeatedly attacked Carroll’s portrayal of Trump as a rapist.
Trump said he knew it wasn’t “politically correct” to say “she’s not my type” when he responded to the claims shortly after Carroll’s 2019 book was published, with the writer alleging that Trump attacked her in a dressing room after an opportunity. During his time as president, Trump repeatedly attacked Carroll, claiming that his claims were fabricated as a means to sell a book.
