Piers Morgan hung up on Alex Jones tonight after their rematch interview turned into an incomprehensible spat about the Sandy Hook massacre.
Morgan pitched Jones a number of potential talking points, including the school shooting, before he appeared on the show tonight.
Jones was apparently angered by the fact that most of his interview revolved around his Sandy Hook comment.
The Infowars host was ordered last year to pay $1.5 billion in defamation damages to the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre.
Morgan, addressing the defamation suit on the show, said that Jones “took a lot of fuel and poured it on the bonfire of his grief.”
“That’s the bottom line for you, Alex,” he said. ‘You deliberately spun a bunch of lies designed to make the families of Sandy Hook suffer worse pain.’
She then presented Jones with footage of Nicole Hockley, whose six-year-old son Dylan was killed in the massacre, during which she claimed that Jones inspired conspiracy theorists to threaten her safety and that of her family.

Jones denied defaming Nicole Hockley, (left) whose six-year-old son Dylan (right) was killed in the massacre, telling Morgan: “I never spoke about that woman.” He didn’t even know who she was.
After hearing her testimony, which Morgan described as ‘eloquent’ and ’emotional’, Jones replied: ‘Complete rubbish, I never said her name.
I never spoke of that woman. He didn’t even know who she was.
Morgan responded, noting how Jones called Sandy Hook a “giant hoax” and claimed that the massacre was “as fake as a three-dollar bill.”
Instead of responding to the line of questioning, Jones referred to the other proposed discussion topics and asked combatively: ‘When are we going to talk about other topics?
They live on me. I did not make money with Sandy Hook. They received $73 million from Remington. They live in Sandy Hook, I don’t.
Morgan, apparently emphasizing with the victims, said: ‘This is what I will tell them. Maybe one of the reasons they have a problem with you and they look at you is that you were saying things on air like “you’ve got your parents laughing – hahaha – and then they walk up to the camera and go ‘boo hoo hoo’ and no.” just one but a bunch of parents doing this and then pictures of kids that are still alive did they say they were dead? I mean they think we’re so dumb.”
“These were parents in the grip of incredible trauma.”
An aerial view of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012. Twenty-seven people, including 18 children, have been killed in a mass shooting at a school.
Jones was sued for defamation after repeatedly claiming that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, which left 20 students and six teachers dead, was a “hoax” and had been “staged.”
Jones sidetracked, instead trying to refocus the conversation on Covid shots which he says are “poisoned” and kill children.
He also tried to compare his indiscretions to the wartime actions of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who once said publicly that she thought the death of 500,000 Iraqi children was “worth it.”
The pair argued about the shooting for more than 40 minutes, with Morgan quoting Jones’ own comment, which Jones denied.
The conspiracy theorist blamed the judge in his defamation trial and the media for hounding him over comments for which he “apologised.”
He also repeatedly claimed that his victims were making money ‘off my name’.
Morgan hung up on Jones around 48 minutes into the hour-long show after he “lost the plot”.
“All your yelling and all your bullshit is absolutely despicable,” Morgan told Jones. And we both, I think, know it.
Jones replied: “You’ll never get our First Amendment and I’m glad you had to go back to England to live under your Islamic rule and when they’re arresting people for being against transsexualism.”
“Alex, once again you’re losing your way, which means now I have to say goodbye,” Morgan chimed in calmly. But it’s been good catching up, thanks.
Jones’ feed was cut from the broadcast and Morgan added: ‘Alex Jones. Nothing has really changed. Over the past 10 years or so, he has continued to exploit, particularly the Sandy Hook families, for massive personal financial gain.
“He systematically tells conspiracy theories that I know he knows aren’t true and he does it because it makes him tons of money.
“And he’s gotten away with it so far, but his bluff was caught, he was sued, and the families won $1.5 billion.”
Jones went on a furious rant the last time the two met on Morgan’s CNN talk show in 2013 when he yelled, “I’m here to tell you that 1776 will start all over again if you try to take our firearms.”
Jones previously appeared on Morgan’s show a decade ago and, just like today, they found themselves in a heated confrontation.
Jones went on a furious rant the last time the two met on Morgan’s CNN talk show in 2013 when he yelled, “I’m here to tell you that 1776 will start all over again if you try to take our firearms.”
In their 2013 meeting, Morgan asked him: “How many gun murders were there in Britain this year?”
Jones replied: “How many great white sharks kill people each year but are afraid to swim?”
He went on to say, “I’m here to tell you that 1776 will start anew if you try to take our firearms.”
He also stated, “There are hordes of people burning cities and bashing people’s brains out every day.”
When Morgan repeated his question, Jones said: ‘How many chimpanzees can dance on the head of a pin?’
Jones gained notoriety for his years hosting his show InfoWars, where he regularly voiced unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about a global elite.
