Kangaroo Island and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park named in best places to go in the world in 2023

Two iconic Australian destinations have been named as two of the best places to visit in the world for 2023.

Kangaroo Island was ranked number seven on the New York Times annual list of the 52 Best Places to Visit in the World in 2023, while Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park earned itself the 29th spot.

Kangaroo Island in South Australia is one of the country’s top tourist destinations, with pristine beaches, incredible hiking trails, picturesque scenery, a gourmet food and wine scene, and luxury accommodation.

The world-famous Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the heart of the Northern Territory is arguably one of Australia’s most popular and globally recognized tourist attractions, home to the sacred indigenous site and world heritage-listed Uluru Rock.

The New York Time released its list of the 52 best places to visit in 2023 with Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park also ranked 29th.

Part of the island is being rebuilt following a devastating fire that consumed the island three years ago, destroying the South Ocean Lodge luxury hotel and much of the wildlife and landscape.

Despite recovery efforts, the spectacular island is busier than ever as travelers flock to enjoy all it has to offer.
