Sunny Hostin discussed a recent cosmetic procedure that included a breast reduction and liposuction.

The View co-host, 54, spoke with People about her body’s struggles, calling the decision to undergo surgery a “health decision” and “self-care.” The two-time author told the publication that she now feels like “a better version of myself.”

The New York-raised star also noted that she wants to start a conversation about plastic surgery in an effort to destigmatize it.

‘I hope sharing my story helps more people. If they feel as aware of their body as I do, they can do what they need to do to feel better,” Sunny explained.

Hostin, mother of her son Gabriel, 20, and daughter Paloma, 16, first experienced shyness as a child.

“When I was 16, I was a double D,” she revealed. “I couldn’t imagine my breasts getting bigger with childbirth, yet they did.”
