Skye Wheatley reveals the pitiful figure influencers are really paid

Skye Wheatley has revealed that she makes as little as $100 for posting YouTube videos.

The 28-year-old Gold Coast influencer confessed that the low pay was due to the fact that her videos do not have a high view rating on the platform.

“The more views, the more you get paid, basically,” the sometimes-controversial Big Brother star explained in an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday.

Telling a fan that he didn’t get paid much, after the follower asked him about his YouTube influencer fees, Wheatley continued: “The last payment I got was $100, I’m pretty sure.”

‘But that’s because I don’t have lofty views.’ Wheatley added that he planned to post more videos in 2023.

The voluptuous beauty has her own YouTube channelwhich has so far attracted 249,000 subscribers.

Four of his most recent videos failed to exceed 20,000 views.

Meanwhile, Wheatley’s Instagram account boasts 650,000 followers.

Skye recently returned to social media after receiving backlash for posting ‘insensitive’ video of the deadly Sea World helicopter crash.

Sydney’s mother, Vanessa Tadros, 36, and British couple Ron, 65, and Diane Hughes, 57, were killed when a helicopter collided with another helicopter near Sea World theme park on the Gold Coast.

Pilot Ash Jenkinson, 40, originally from Birmingham in the UK, was the fourth person killed in the crash.

Following the backlash, Wheatley posted a tribute to the four people who died in the tragic incident and said she will be taking a break from social media.

“Can you all pray with me for the families affected by yesterday’s devastating events? I feel sick to my stomach today and am praying for everyone at the hospital to make it through,” he wrote.

‘[I’m] taking the day off from social media, counting my blessings and wanting to be present with the family. This can happen to anyone and it really makes you take a step back and realize how lucky we are to wake up ALIVE each day.

‘I love you all! Go give your loved ones a big hug and kiss. We are very lucky to be here in each other, so whatever you are struggling with, try to see the beauty in today.’
