Leicester City have made an inquiry for Fiorentina’s Argentine international left winger Nico González.
The 24-year-old is available for £30m with the Serie A outfit set to cash in this January transfer window.
Primarily a left winger, González can play in a variety of roles, on the right or as a centre-forward, and would provide Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers with flexibility in tactics.
Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez is on Leicester’s radar as they look to improve their squad.
González would also have been part of Argentina’s victorious 26-man squad in Qatar after being initially selected, before having to withdraw due to injury during their training camp.
Injuries have also plagued the winger this season, reducing him to just 11 appearances, although he has scored five times in those outings.
González, who joined from Stuttgart in the summer of 2021, enjoyed an excellent debut campaign in Florence, scoring eight times and providing nine assists in 39 games in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
González has scored five goals in 11 games for Fiorentina this season, despite his injury problems.
