I chose the wrong house! Satisfying moment when teenage burglars run for their lives after trying to break into the home of a professional boxer
A pair of cheeky teenage thieves got the scare of their lives when they tried to rob a fancy Gold Coast over the weekend, only to discover that the owner is a professional boxing star who doesn’t get along with would-be criminals.
The two young criminals were looking for an easy target in Benowa Waters. Little did they know they were breaking into Casey Caswell’s home.
The 32-year-old is a professional boxer originally from Buckinghamshire in the UK who boasts an unbeaten record of 7-0 including four knockouts.
The Australasian cruiserweight champion was alerted to their presence when his security cameras triggered an alarm on his mobile phone.
He then dove out the front door and charged at the terrified shirtless teens.
Casey Caswell has seven wins in seven professional fights, and nearly added another pair of knockouts to his resume when he scared off two would-be burglars from his home.
The footage has been shared by fellow Australian boxer Demsey McKean and has been widely applauded by Queenslanders who are fed up with opportunistic criminals.
‘Crush the Eshay,’ replied one.
“Hopefully they are enjoying the hospital food until they get well enough to go to prison,” said another.
‘He’s going beyond a joke, so cheeky! And when they’re caught, they’re released! There should be more of this! I wish I caught them,” posted another.
Fortunately for the would-be robbers, they managed to escape before Caswell could catch them.
McKean said it would have turned ugly if his fellow boxing champion had gone after them.
“Casey doing what any man would do, that’s how you deal with low life rats trying to get into your house,” McKean said. news corporation.
‘Not how Casey Caswell wanted to start her early Sunday morning, for sure.
‘I woke up to see two burglars walking around their car and front property about to jump over the fence. So he ran off and chased them down the road.
He didn’t catch them and no one was hurt.
“My partner is a professional wrestler and an Australasian champion, they chose the wrong house to get into.”
