An allegedly inebriated woman who refused to get off a Jetstar flight was escorted off the plane by five police officers as she was interrupted by her fellow passengers.

Passengers could be heard singing “Hey Hey Goodbye” as the woman was taken off flight JQ631 en route from the Gold Coast to Melbourne on Sunday.

“There you go,” a man says when the woman agrees to get up and leave, after tense negotiations with a police officer.

A passenger who uploaded the images to TikTok told viewers that the three-hour flight had been delayed by an hour due to the ordeal.

“This is ridiculous,” a traveler is heard saying as police approach the woman’s seat.

“There we go…they’re grabbing her,” comments another, as an officer grabs the woman’s wrists and pulls her out of the seat.

“Come on mom… get off,” a third man teases as she is led down the aisle.

A Jetstar spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that airline staff had requested the help of the Federal Police in removing the woman from the plane on Sunday.

“We requested the assistance of the Australian Federal Police after a passenger became increasingly disruptive before departure and refused to follow crew instructions,” the spokesperson said.

“The safety of our customers and crew is our number one priority and we have zero tolerance for disruptive behavior.”

An AFP spokesman said the 42-year-old woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at Gold Coast airport.

They said the Lennox Heads woman had refused to cooperate after being asked to leave the plane due to her “presumed level of intoxication”.

“She has been charged with one count of offensive or disorderly behavior on an aircraft,” the statement said.

The maximum penalty for disorderly conduct on a plane is a $13,750 fine with the woman due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on March 20.

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts in the comments on the TikTok video.

‘In the USA they threaten to sue and get angry, in Australia we laugh and sing… Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi’, wrote one.

“This is so Australian lol the song at the end,” said another.

“Nothing like some inflight entertainment,” a third commented.
