Robbie Williams fears being CANCELLED over upcoming biopic and Netflix docuseries 

The film about her life began production in May 2022, and two months later, Netflix announced that it had commissioned a series tracing the ups and downs of her career.

And now, Robbie Williams, 48, has admitted that he fears being canceled for his upcoming Better Man biopic and Netflix docuseries.

The Let Me Entertain You singer confessed he’s nervous about “being in the spotlight again,” saying it’s a “very vulnerable time” to be in the spotlight.

speaking in the Robbie Williams Rewind Podcast, the singer said about the upcoming releases: ‘I’m excited and nervous. I’m not nervous that it’s not good because what I’ve seen has blown my mind.

“What makes me nervous is being in the spotlight again because the movie will be released and Netflix will be released.

And I haven’t really been financially viable for the lesser energies associated with media for a long time, which has made my life enjoyable and all of this possible.

I need these two things for the wind behind my sails for a third of my life, they are vital. But if they’re a hit, for a long time, I’m back in the spotlight and it’s a very vulnerable time to be in the media right now.

“You can get canceled for anything, and I’m not talking about sex, I’m just talking about anything you say, what particular day do you wake up on the wrong side of history, you’re a relic of the last century where we thought and felt different things .’

Robbie stated, “You’re 15 seconds away from being canceled at any moment and that doesn’t feel comfortable.”

The Angels hitmaker admitted that his “foolishness and stupidity” would likely leave him more open to criticism.

He said: “Especially for someone like me who only shoots from the hip with bullshit, doesn’t shoot from the hip with opinions about how the world should be.” Just jokes and laughs and silliness so there are two ways to look at it.

“I really want it to go out there and be a success because success feels great, but at the same time being in that crosshairs makes me feel vulnerable.”

Production began in May 2022 on the big-budget biopic, billed as “a musical fantasy”, which is being made in Melbourne by Australian filmmaker Michael Gracey, who directed the blockbuster The Greatest Showman.

British actor Jonno Davies, 30, best known for the Amazon Prime series Hunters, will play young Robbie.

Other cast members include Australian actors Kate Mulvany (The Great Gatsby), Damon Herriman (Mr InBetween) and filmmaker and actor Anthony Hayes.

In an official statement, the production called the film “a satirical musical based on the life of a pop star.”

The film will feature ‘re-imaginings’ of Robbie’s hit songs and stunning visual effects to explore the ‘inner demons’ the superstar has had to battle both on and off stage.
