Australian soccer star Sam Kerr and his American girlfriend Kristie Mewis looked smitten as they shared a passionate kiss at Perth airport before Kerr headed to London to join his Chelsea teammates.
The pair were in Australia for the Women’s Super League mid-season winter break, with Kerr’s leading team returning to action against Arsenal on 15 January.

The pair were in Australia for the Women’s Super League mid-season winter break, and Kerr’s high-flying side returned to action against Arsenal on January 15.
Mewis, who plays for Gotham FC in the US and has been dating the Australian star since 2021, has also taken a break from her busy schedule to travel to Australia.
Kerr took to Instagram to post a photo of herself with a quokka on Rottnest Island last Friday.
“You’re even cuter,” Mewis commented on the post, which was viewed by Kerr’s million followers.
Kerr also posted an Instagram story of Rottnest Island from the sky.
‘Rottnest Island from above. Dreamaaamy,” the caption read.
Mewis, who plays for Gotham FC in the US and has been dating the Australian star since 2021, has also taken a break from her busy schedule to travel to Australia.
Prior to Mewis, Kerr had been dating his partner Nikki Stanton, another prominent American soccer player, for more than seven years, but split from her shortly before the Tokyo Olympics.
Last year was huge for Kerr, who finished an impressive third at the Women’s Ballon d’Or once again and picked up back-to-back WSL golden boots for Chelsea.
The talented forward also won her second FA Women’s Cup title and her third Women’s Super League trophy.

Kerr’s accolades also included claiming the Football Writers Association’s Women’s Footballer of the Year award, the PFA Women’s Player of the Year Award and receiving an Order of Australia (OAM) Medal for her soccer services.
She also became the first footballer to appear on the cover of a global version of FIFA.

Kerr will spearhead the Matildas attack when the Women’s World Cup comes to Australia and New Zealand later this year.
