‘Livid’ Channel 10 edit rogue Bachelor contestant out of series after stint on MAFS

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Livid’ Channel 10 edits wayward Bachelors contestant out of upcoming series after her ‘unsanctioned’ stint on new season of rival dating show Married At First Sight

Channel 10 has been forced to make last-minute edits to The Bachelors after a contestant went rogue and appeared on a rival dating show.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Jessica Tomlinson will not be one of the featured contenders in the series after an ‘unsanctioned’ stint on Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight, which is set to air on January 30.

According to a network source, the 24-year-old’s scenes will be cut down heavily to “make it look like she wasn’t there” in the hope that she’ll “get completely forgotten about.”

“Channel 10 and Warner Bros. are completely furious about the last-minute change after they noticed Nine featuring Jess heavily in advertisements for one of MAFS’s weddings,” the source said.

In October, Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed that that wedding would descend into chaos after Tomlinson accused her former best friend’s boyfriend of dating her Bachelor co-star just days before walking down the aisle.

Jess was seen pulling girlfriend Bronte Schofield aside to let her know that she recognized her partner Harrison Boon and is not to be trusted.

“Jessica couldn’t believe it when she realized he was the guy her co-star was hooking up with and felt it was only right to confront Bronte about it on their wedding day,” the source explained.

“Jessica was desperate for her five minutes of fame and decided to tell Bronte on camera by pushing her aside and basically sabotaging the wedding.”

His contract with Warner Bros. states that he must not appear on any other television program or media of any nature without the written consent of the network.

Upon learning of her appearance on MAFS, the producers called Jessica for an explanation, before telling her that she may not be eligible for her one-time payment.

‘Jessica was devastated. She had no idea that she was going on the show, it was all a surprise. They attacked her hard,’ a friend said.

Warner Bros. decided to further punish Jessica by leaving her out of the official cast announcement on Instagram.

Tomlinson remains one of the only contestants whose account has not been taken over by production or whose account has been made public.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.
