Jimmy Barnes has reached a major milestone in his recovery from major surgery.

The 66-year-old rocker announced Sunday that he can now go up and down stairs.

He posted photos of himself walking up some stairs at his home, as well as showing off a delicious baked meal prepared by family friends.

The fans congratulated Jimmy and wished him the best in his speedy recovery.

‘Keep up the good work and you’ll be back on stage again, doing what you do best,’ wrote one follower.

When asked if he was confident he could be ready to complete the rescheduled tour, Jimmy was confident.

‘The hardest part will be keeping still for three months,’ he said with a laugh.

He then said his plans to write a rock and roll album and finish a book would keep him busy “for the first two weeks” of his recovery.
