Tim Robards has helped save two people from drowning at Bondi Beach.
The Bachelor recounted his heroic rescue in a video on Instagram on Monday.
A drenched Tim, 40, said he was running on soft sand when he realized the two people were caught in a rip.
Tim Robards has recalled the terrifying moment two people nearly drowned on Sydney’s Bondi Beach, before he stepped in to save them.
‘Happy New Year guys. Right down here on Bondi Beach. I just did a couple of laps in soft sand and then I saw two people get swept away in a current,” she said, gasping.
“So I had to put on my salvador hat and go out and grab one of them and drag it back to shore.”
Tim said he then met a Bondi lifeguard halfway, who is believed to have rescued the other civilian.
‘Anyway, that was a bit of a thrill, happy new year. It’s a bit of a busy day down here. I’m going home for a beer,’ she added.
Moments after the incident, The Bachelor recounted the rescue in a video to his 223,000 followers on Instagram. A drenched Tim, 40, said he was running on soft sand before realizing the two people were caught in a rip.

“Surely there must be some kind of medal or an exclusive club or something I can join after that,” he continued.
Maybe that’s what they call a surf club.
The former reality star further explained the terrifying incident in her caption.
‘Happy New Year! She started off potentially saving a life hehe… I saw a couple screaming for help and when I got there she was one foot under,” she wrote.
The act of bravery comes after Tim and his wife, Anna Robards, 35, shared their optimism for the new year.
‘I didn’t realize how hard it would be after running soft sand earlier haha…had to push it against a tear…great workout finisher for my legs!
‘Anyway, great start to the new year for me! Stay safe and I hope you have a good one too!’

In November, the couple moved into their new Dover Heights mansion that had been listed with a guide price of $6 million.
It is understood that Tim and Anna paid a figure close to the price guide.
The lovebirds met on the first season of The Bachelor Australia in 2013 before tying the knot in Italy in June 2018.
They welcomed their daughter, Elle, two years later, in November 2020.
