Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson risked the wrath of the NFL after shocking video surfaced showing him hitting a referee in the back with his helmet.
The wide receiver, considered by most to be Minnesota’s best player, let his frustrations get the better of him during Sunday’s loss to the Packers, and now he may have to answer to a fine and suspension from the league.
With the Vikings trailing heavily as halftime approached, Kirk Cousins threw his second interception of the game to Packers safety Adrian Amos, and Jefferson was caught on camera letting his temper rage.

CBS cameras caught the moment Jefferson’s frustrations seemed to boil over
As noted by CBS Sports, Jefferson is seen removing his helmet and swinging it down, hitting a bench official in the back of the shoulder with it.
Although the action appeared accidental and Jefferson was not ejected from the game at the time, Jefferson could still face punishment for the aggressive move.
The incident was one of the highlights of a terrible night for the Vikings man, who was hounded by Jaire Alexander and had just one catch for 15 yards on five targets.
The action was apparently accidental, but he could still see the catcher land in hot water.
Jefferson has been one of the standout players in the league this year, but he had a bad day.
Luckily for Minnesota though, a playoff berth is already guaranteed, despite the 41-17 loss, they’ve already clinched their division and are heading to the postseason as the No. 3 seed in the NFC.
In the final week of the season, they face a struggling Bears team that has lost nine in a row and will be the worst team in the NFL in 2022.
Meanwhile, the Packers face a big matchup on the final day against the Lions, and Aaron Rodgers and company win and enter after they turned their season around to win four straight games.
