Carolina McCauley, from Perth, has earned more than 2.8 million followers on TikTok for sharing helpful cleaning and organizing tips and tricks.
But her latest video, showing what to do if you find dirt and debris on your leather sofa, didn’t necessarily impress her enthusiastic followers.
She recommends filling out a large bowl with two dishwashing tablets, mixing them with hot water and a cleaning cloth of your choice.

But due to the delicate nature of the sofa, some people balked at the idea.
‘Or you can buy leather wipes, they do a better job and nourish the leather,’ a woman replied.

She sprays the repellent on her couch and any other fabrics she wants to protect, saying liquid spills now just slide right off.
His second favorite hack is to hang his sneakers from the inside of the dryer door to dry without damaging the shoes or making a noise.
Trap the top of the laces between the dryer and the door, run the machine on a gentle cycle, and let your shoes dry.
One of Carolina’s weirder tricks is using a pumice stone to clean her toilet.
The mother wets the stone and rubs it against the dark water stains in the toilet bowl to return the porcelain to its original color.
She’s also become a fan of using power tools for chores, saying it helps her finish her cleanup in “half the time.”
The smart cleaner uses a cordless electric brush to deep clean bathroom and shower tiles. Also use a smaller power brush to clean the sink and grout.
Carolina also discovered an easy way to dispose of the oil without clogging the drain.
Place a piece of aluminum foil in your sink drain, then pour the oil onto the foil and allow it to cool before disposing of it normally.
Her final trick is to apply body wash to the inside of your trash can to prevent bad odors.
Carolina’s fans loved the tricks. Parents with small children especially liked his trick to prevent stains on the sofa.
