Kathy Griffin knows exactly what she’ll be watching on TV to ring in the New Year, and it won’t be CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.
The 62-year-old actress shared an old TMZ clip from five years ago, of the Real Housewives creator trying to make the joke about filling in for the comedian on the CNN broadcast, in which he was pretending not to know her.
The cut became a scar that continues to ache for the Emmy winner who wrote on Instagram on Saturday: ‘Ugh. Every year someone sends me this clip on New Year’s Eve.

She referenced rival show Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with the post from Ryan Seacrest and guests including Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus, who wrote: “Anyway, can’t wait to see Miley and Dolly tonight.”
