Boxer Sulem Urbina is used to turning heads in the ring on her way to compiling a 13-1 record, but this week she was turning heads at her weigh-in as she stripped to a barely-there bikini before his first fight in New York.
The 32-year-old will take on Indeya Smith on Wednesday in what is shaping up to be a historic fight for her as she lives out her dream of hitting in the Big Apple.
But regardless of the outcome, she made quite the impression by stepping on the scale in a bikini with two daring cutouts across the chest and just above the groin.
His fans were quick to show their appreciation as he posted an image and video of the occasion on Instagram, and Australian boxer Ebanie Bridges was among them, responding with various fire emojis and the words ‘I love it’.

The reigning IBF bantamweight world champion is no stranger to causing controversy by wearing very little clothing at her weigh-ins, as she demonstrated shortly before her crushing TKO victory over fellow Australian Shannon O’Connell earlier this month. .
Bridges stripped down to lingerie on that occasion and her habit of wearing skimpy underwear on the scale led her opponent to dub her a ‘skanky stripper’.
O’Connell lamented those comments in the ring, where she was floored by a big right hand in the third before being so battered that the referee was forced to step in and end the fight in the eighth round.
“This is how it’s done, nothing like shutting up a bully, very satisfying,” he wrote on Instagram after the win.

Urbina, who has racked up three knockouts in his 13 wins, has gone from growing up as an undocumented immigrant in Arizona to fulfilling one of his life’s ambitions as he climbs the bantamweight ranks.
“When I was a kid, I remember watching fights all over the world and it was just a dream for me to do it because I was undocumented growing up,” she said.
“Now that I’m living the dream of being able to travel all over the world and fight, I feel extremely blessed.”
