A finance guru has revealed the top Christmas grocery buys under $20 with ham, pavlova and mangoes at the top of the list.

They were happy to give their best advice with a worker who claimed that ham “tastes better at Christmas” and at $8 a kilo it’s worth buying.

Another told Queenie that Australian mangoes have picked up steam this year and “the value is absolutely fantastic.”

A festive worker, wearing a Santa hat, told Queenie that the luxurious gingerbread and caramel pudding should be high on the list for any Christmas party, with both tagging for just $14.

Queenie found the pavlova on her own and noticed that it had been reduced to $5.40 just in time for Christmas.

The cash register worker said people should also consider the $2 Christmas donation, which provides ten meals to Australians in need this festive season.
