Shoppers offended by the luxury $5,200 Dior calendar’s Day 6 giveaway can’t believe their eyes when they open on the 13th: “Don’t mess with me…what’s this?”

  • YouTuber Jackie Aina reviews Christian Dior’s 2022 advent calendar
  • On TikTok, the 35-year-old woman recorded herself opening drawers of the product.
  • Drawer six was a silver lid for the scented candle from the previous box.
  • Now she has been disappointed again after opening day 13, which was a roller coaster.

One shopper was left speechless and completely disappointed by what she received in box 13 of Dior’s ‘luxurious’ advent calendar.

Jackie Aina, an American TikToker and YouTuber, bought the limited edition La Collection Privée Christian Dior advent calendar and shared a series of TikTok videos that gradually unpacked the drawers.

The advent calendar itself costs $3,500 USD / $5,200 AUD and has so far included bars of soap, fragrances and a candle, with day six being the silver candle cap from the window above.

The 35-year-old didn’t expect any further disappointment, but she wrinkled her nose in disbelief after unpacking on the 13th: it was a silver candle holder.

“Drawer 13 looks a little wide, if it’s a lid… Don’t mess with me,” Jackie said in the clip.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Dior Australia for comment.

Jackie struggled to contain her laughter and couldn’t believe that a coaster was included as one of the gifts.

I think this is supposed to be a roller coaster. I’m almost sure,” she said.

“It definitely looked like a lid for a second…the coaster is much heavier and has a soft feel (at the base).”

He also compared the candle cover and coaster side by side, with the main difference being in weight and the velvet grip on the bottom of the coaster.

Jackie said the coaster “isn’t terrible” but that she “would have loved” to have received other household items such as napkin rings.

Since then, the video has been viewed more than 1.6 million times, with many left stunned by what was inside Box 13.

“Gate 24 better be a refund,” one person wrote, another said, “I would have been irritated.”

“What happened to the sunglasses, the lipstick, the makeup, a bracelet, a bag, literally anything else?” added a third.

A coaster? Dior said to only drink at these parties,” another joked.

“So far I have to say that it is what it is, but it’s not that good,” he admitted in a previous video.

On the 11th he also received another candle and many feared that the next drawer would be another lid.

Jackie also noted that four of the gifts, the miniature fragrances, should not be included.

“I’m not going to lie, these don’t even count because, aside from the lovely scents, they come as a free gift with purchase if you shop at Dior.com,” Jackie said.

In the comments, TikTokers were furious over the inclusion of a candle lid as its own day on the advent calendar.

‘WAIT. Sorry, they spent a full day of the advent calendar for a lid for your candle,” wrote one person.

Another added: “No Dior, we were expecting more, literally.”

A third said: ‘This woman bought the $3,500 Dior advent calendar and you’re telling me that one of the days included a candle and then a SEPARATE day was the CANDLE LID. This is so dumb.

‘I am deeply offended by the Dior cover. That’s crazy,” confessed another.
