In a statement shared with the public, the Norwegian royal house said: “The King has been diagnosed with an infection that needs to be treated with intravenous antibiotics and will therefore remain at the Rikshospitalet for a few days.”
The news comes after a busy month with commitments for the King, who remains active in his 80s.
