Robert Irwin breaks down in tears in front of a crowd at Australia Zoo after receiving a special message from his late father Steve on his 19th birthday: “You made me cry!”

Robert Irwin received an emotional birthday video from his father at the Australia Zoo for his 19th birthday.

Robert was just two years old when his father, Steve Irwin, passed away after being stung by a stingray in 2006 at the age of 44.

Despite losing his father at a young age, Robert followed in his footsteps and became a wildlife warrior at the Australia Zoo.

The tribute video featured footage of Steve discussing Robert’s birth and his hopes for Robert to become the next crocodile hunter.

Steve stressed the importance of raising children who could carry on his legacy, saying it would be “the proudest moment of my life.”

The video then showed Robert fulfilling his father’s dream.

In response to the clip, Robert expressed his gratitude for the privilege of carrying on his father’s legacy and his hope that Steve would be proud of him.

“It means the absolute world… I think it’s a great privilege, personally and as a family, to carry on Dad’s legacy,” he said.

“He literally gave his life for wildlife conservation and making the world a better place.”

“We’re also very lucky because through all of Dad’s amazing documentaries, we basically get our life on TV,” Robert said. Eastern Time Last October.

‘So all we have to do is put the DVD in the DVD player and rewind and press play and we can relive these amazing memories. So we’re very, very lucky in that sense.’
