Zara McDermott dons printed co-ord as she and boyfriend Sam Thompson enjoy their Barbados getaway

This week they traveled to Barbados to soak up some winter sun.

And Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson certainly were in a tropical state of mind on Saturday as they stepped out in laid-back ensembles for a day at the beach.

The former Love Island star, 26, donned an ensemble of printed shorts and a shirt, while her Made In Chelsea boyfriend, 30, kept the theme going in a pair of sparkly swim trunks.

The couple, sunbathing, were photographed in the parking lot of the stunning Sea Shed beach club and restaurant.

Zara let her blonde locks fall freely in a straight, tousled style while shielding her eyes with a pair of black sunglasses.

She added a large beach bag over her shoulder, while she and Sam looked at their phone.

Sam looked the picture of ‘vacation mode’ as she paired her patterned purple briefs with a gray tank top and bright blue crocs.

The reality star added a pair of sunglasses that she attached to a chain around her neck, while leaving her blonde locks tousled.

Enjoying the second day of the vacation, the couple went out on a boat trip and did some snorkeling in the sea.

Posting a collection of photos to Instagram, Zara donned a yellow bathing suit under her ensemble as she soaked up the Caribbean sun.

And it seems to have gone better than the first day of the trip, in which Sam fell ill after Zara explained that he ate a “iffy Nandos at the airport.”

The former Celebs Go Dating star needed a shot in her butt to help with the disease, with her girlfriend there to capture the moment.

Posting a collection of photos on Instagram from the start of the holiday, including Sam’s injection, Zara wrote: ‘Barbados day 1! I checked into THE most beautiful hotel ever, walked on the beach and ate some delicious pancakes.

Under the weather: And it seems to have gone better than the first day of the trip, in which Sam fell ill after Zara explained that he ate a ‘Dodgy Nandos at the airport’, requiring a shot in the butt.

“Sadly, Sam can’t say the same…she ate a dodgy Nandos at the airport yesterday and has been paying the price ever since and as any good girlfriend would do, I called the doctor and took pictures of her in a compromising position.” get an injection in the butt.
