“I haven’t posted about this because I haven’t really known what to say and stupidly every time I start writing about it I cry, and I really haven’t needed any more reasons to cry recently with my fucking period.” still making me seem completely emotionally unstable.

“Anyway, just wanted to say a big thank you to the amazing team at @londonwomensclinic who were so kind, supportive and lovely to us as we were pretty nervous and excited.”

“We each had a series of scans and tests. I have to be honest, it was a sight to behold watching erc stagger around clutching his little cup for his ‘sample’

And luckily we are all healthy and in a good position to prepare for the egg retrieval process in the new year! Then, if all goes to plan, we’ll create our beautiful embryos, and our frozen family will be there waiting for us when we decide to start the next chapter of our lives.

Earlier, Vicky also revealed that she had ‘postponed’ the egg freezing process because she thought Ercan would reach a stage where they would be ready to start trying for a child naturally.

‘Yesterday Ercan and I went to start our egg freezing journey. It’s been a long time coming and I’ve been saying I’m going to do it,” Vicky told her guest Bianca Gascoigne.

“I think, if I’m honest with myself, the reason I put it off is because I was waiting for this moment where I felt like we’re ready to try to conceive naturally.

“I was waiting for that moment where I was like ‘I have a house and I love you Ercan, and we know we’re going to be together, and I want to have a baby with you now,’ and I was waiting for that to come. I wanted it to and just it did not.

“That’s what I was talking to the nurse about. I said, ‘I kept waiting to feel ready to not have to do this, and it never came.'”

“And I realized that if you keep waiting for that lightbulb moment where ‘oh yeah, I’m ready to be a mom,’ you’re going to miss out on even freezing some good eggs.”

EGG FREEZING: THE FACTS

Freezing eggs means going through the IVF process, which usually takes two to three weeks.

This involves taking medications to stimulate egg production and also to help the eggs mature.

Once the eggs are ready, women are placed under general anesthesia while they are collected, usually around 15 eggs, although this is not always possible for women with lower reserves.

A freezing solution is then added to the eggs to protect them, then they are frozen and stored in liquid nitrogen tanks.

When the woman is ready to use the eggs, they are thawed and those that have survived intact are injected with sperm.

Vicky revealed how she and Ercan started the process, with her fiancé producing sperm in a cup, while her eggs were frozen.

In September, Vicky shared her fertility concerns, saying it’s “really scary” that her eggs would be “classified as geriatric” because of her age.

Geriatric pregnancy is a term that is rarely used for having a baby over the age of 35, as it is considered the age when fertility begins to decline most rapidly.

She said on Loose Women: ‘Our plan is we’ll probably get married in 2024 now, everyone who had weddings canceled due to Covid catch up. But we are going to start the egg freezing process in October of this year.

‘It’s really scary, do you know that my eggs are classified as geriatric? I feel like they are lovely little eggs, but yes, they are classified as geriatric.

‘I don’t think girls realize how hard it gets to get pregnant, conceive naturally and have healthy pregnancies after the age of 30! I’m waving the flag.

Vicky went on to explain why she wants to wait a few years before having a baby, saying that her relationship with Ercan is still new and she wants to enjoy it first.

“Although I love Ercan, our relationship is still in its infancy, we’ve only been together for three years,” he said.

“I would love the chance to enjoy each stage naturally, before I go and add sleepless nights and permanent tears of joy.”

The TV personality said that she hopes to have a baby just before she turns 40, and opened up about how she has changed her mind about having children.

She said: “I would love to have a baby just before 40, right after we get married, but who’s to say what’s going to happen.”
