The key claims made in the last three Netflix episodes of Harry and Meghan

Here are the key points and revelations from Harry and Meghan:

episode four

Meghan said it was “very important” that the King walk her down the aisle at her wedding to Harry.

– Duchess recalled thinking about taking her own life, saying: “It was like, ‘This will all stop if I’m not here.'”

– Harry said it was ‘heartbreaking’ to see his brother’s communications office ‘copying’ his father’s behavior in ‘exchanging’ stories with the press.

episode five

– Meghan broke down in tears as she described receiving death threats online.

– Harry said it was his decision to step back as a working royal, not his wife’s.

Harry has claimed the timing of a meeting with royals at Sandringham about the couple’s future was deliberately arranged so Meghan couldn’t attend. Harry said his sister started ‘screaming and screaming’ during their meeting about moving abroad.

Harry said he wrote to his father in January 2020 to say that he and his wife would be willing to give up their titles if the couple’s plan to move to Canada as royals didn’t work out.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have claimed the institution ‘blocked’ Harry from seeing his grandmother, the Queen, after they decided to step back as royals.

episode six

– Home video footage appeared to show the couple watching her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey before kissing.

– They assure that they saw the interview differently from the world. Tyler Perry claimed that they could have said a lot more.

– Other pictures show Harry holding up his phone to show Meghan a text from William and her reaction is to say ‘wow’ as she stares at the screen.

He claims that the late Queen had informed him that her diary was open and invited him and Meghan to stay at the estate.

Speaking to the camera in episode five, Harry added: “She knew things were hard for us.” He had talked to her many times about it. She told me that she had no plans for the week.

‘She said, ‘Well, why don’t you go upstairs?’ You can have tea, but why don’t you stay the night, you and Meghan?

But when the couple left Vancouver, they say they received a message informing them that they were barred from seeing the monarch.

The Duchess of Sussex said: “So we were flying back from Vancouver direct to Heathrow and just as we were getting on the plane this urgent, urgent message comes through to H who says: ‘You are not allowed to see Her Majesty.

“Make sure your principal knows you can’t come see her. She’s busy. She has plans for the whole week.

Harry said he was surprised because that was ‘the opposite of what she had told me’ and decided to speak directly to his grandmother when they landed.

He added: “Once we got back to the UK, I called her and said, ‘Now they told me you’re busy.'”

She says, “Yeah, I didn’t know you were busy. They told me I’m busy. They told me I’m busy all week.” I was like, “Wow.”

Meghan added: “I remember looking at H. I mean, oh my gosh, this is when a family and a family business are in direct conflict.”

“Because they prevent you from seeing the Queen.” But in reality what they are doing is preventing a grandson from seeing his grandmother.

Harry also denied claims that he had ‘shocked’ his grandmother when the couple announced their decision to step back from royal life on social media.

‘This idea that I supposedly took my grandmother by surprise. This would never happen. I respect her a lot,’ said Harry.

His wife added that the process had taken a long time, adding: ‘This has been going on for months and months.

“I mean, I think in some people’s minds, it was like me saying ‘Publish,'” he added.

Harry went on to claim that the late Queen watched in silence as he was left in terror after Prince William yelled about the urgent exit talks she had called in Sandringham.

He said: “It was terrifying to see my brother yell and yell at me, and my father say things that just weren’t true, and my grandmother, you know, sitting quietly and taking it all in.”

The royal said the late monarch’s “ultimate mission/goal/responsibility is the institution.”

“People around him tell him: ‘By the way, that proposal, or these two doing X, Y, Z, will be seen as an attack on the institution.’

‘Then she’s going to follow the advice you’ve given her. It was really hard.
