Anna Kendrick attended a Q&A and early screening of her upcoming film in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The actress, 37, wore a white minidress with lace details over a black turtleneck when she stopped to greet fans after the event.
Last week, the trailer for Alice’s upcoming thriller drama Darling, which she stars in and produces, was released.

She was carrying a small black sequined tote bag on a gold chain and her phone in the same hand that was signing autographs.
The Twilight alum wore her brunette hair in a half-up, half-down hairstyle with voluminous waves and loose face-framing pieces to highlight her features.

The upcoming film tells the story of a woman whose friends help her gain perspective on her psychologically and emotionally abusive relationship, according to the synopsis.
The general release of the film opens on January 20.

At the event, Kendrick discussed working on the film after taking a year-long hiatus during the pandemic to focus on his mental health.
“This was a really personal project for me, so I was very grateful to be involved in editing more than I’ve been involved in any other film,” she said.
“One thing that became very important to me while we were editing [was] something wunmi [Mosaku] – who plays Sophie – told me the first day we met, “he said.

“We were talking about the movie and she was talking about how she was so excited to see my performance, which is a very generous thing to say, and we were talking about the script,” she continued.
“And I was like, ‘Oh, I love how he sticks to this character instead of taking the easy route and cataloging a bunch of evidence of bad behavior,'” he said. And she said, “But Anna, you are the evidence.”
“That was a really powerful thing to hear,” Kendrick added. “She was talking about acting, but that’s my job in recovery now to trust my own perceptions and my own experience.”
She said, “This was a really personal project for me, so I was so grateful to be involved in editing more than I had been on any other film.”
‘[This film] it’s important to me personally, because it felt like a validation of the idea that we can take as evidence the impact that something has had on a person.’
In September, Kendrick revealed that she suffered psychological abuse from a boyfriend that led her to play Alice, a woman going through a similar situation.
It was months after the split at the end of 2021 that he filmed the movie.

“In the end, I had the unique experience of finding out that everything I thought was happening was actually happening,” he said. “So I had this kind of springboard to feel and recover that a lot of people don’t have.
