She is set to appear in the third and final series of the epic fantasy series.
So it came as no surprise that Ruth Wilson brought plenty of glamor to a gala screening for the conclusion of His Dark Materials at London’s BFI Southbank on Tuesday.
The actress, 40, donned a sophisticated cream dress with a floral print as she posed up a storm at the launch ahead of the series’ December 18 launch.

Ruth showed off her slender physique in the simple cream dress with a colorful floral print, which featured a flattering sweetheart neckline and flowing skirt.
The Affair star styled her brunette locks into a sleek updo and added a splash of color with a striking red lip.
Also in attendance at the screening was Ruth’s co-star Dafne Keen, who posed in a black satin gown and matching gloves.

Dramatic: Ruth plays the role of Mrs. Coultier in the epic series, based on Philip Pullman’s trilogy of books, which will come to a close with its third series.
Based on The Amber Spyglass, the third book in Philip Pullman’s trilogy, the final season of His Dark Materials will bring the story of Lyra and Will (Amir Wilson) to its conclusion.
The duo assist Lord Asriel (James McAvoy) in an epic battle against The Authority, and can be seen building his army in the series’ thrilling trailer.
It comes after Ruth, who plays Marisa Coulter in His Dark Materials, herself detailed why she doesn’t believe in marriage on a personal level.

speaking to G2, The 40-year-old actress said she doesn’t believe in institutions but has a long-standing relationship with an American writer whom she never named.
Her grandfather, Alexander Wilson, was polygamous (her grandmother only found out about his afterlife after his death) and Ruth believes that her own resistance to the marriage is deeply rooted in her polygamous background.
She said: ‘Yes, it’s genetic. You know, my grandfather died before I was born and my parents have a great marriage. It must have skipped a generation.
And while she believes in relationships. she said: ‘I believe in connections, I have a very strong relationship and have had it for a number of years. I think the value of having someone in your life who understands and sees you is enormous. And I’m so glad I have it.
Ruth, who said she’s generally commitment-phobic, added: “I don’t believe in institutions. I feel a little restricted from having to conform to someone else’s idea of what a relationship is. It seems dogmatic to me.
