The most viewed homes for sale in Britain this year have been revealed, with a Wiltshire estate that featured in a hit TV drama at the top of the pile.
The Grade II listed house in Chippenham in Wiltshire is called Luckington Court and was used to bring Long Bourn, the home of the Bennet family, to life on screen in the BBC TV adaptation of Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
The 1995 TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice starred Colin Firth and proved to be a huge success, with a reported 10 million people watching the final episode of the six-part drama.

There were also rumors that the Cotswold estate would one day become the new home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Two miles from Badminton, the Cotswolds house is surrounded by 19 acres of pasture land and is next to the church on the edge of the village of Luckington.
It’s on the market for £5 million, which is one of the cheaper properties in Rightmove’s most viewed properties online this year.
The list of houses ranges in price from a £4 million property overlooking the sea in Cornwall to a six-bedroom detached house in North London, which has an eye-watering £35 million price tag.
Rightmove’s Tim Bannister, said: ‘From homes with years of history to contemporary pads with all the modern features available, this year millions of people looked at the most amazing homes on the market.
“Many of us have thought about where we might live if money were no object, and this can be seen with the most viewed homes of the year capturing the imagination of people across Britain in 2022.”
