Rebel Wilson reveals how her onscreen lesbian affair sparked a sexual awakening in her 40s

Rebel Wilson has revealed that his on-screen kiss with a woman had an impact on his own sexuality.

The Australian actress, 42, admitted she was nervous about kissing co-star Charlotte Gainsbourg while filming her latest movie The Almond and the Seahorse.

“I had never kissed a woman before, so I was thinking, ‘Oh God, how is that going to go?'” she said. the hollywood reporter.

Rebel added that kissing a woman for the film ultimately led to her kissing a woman in her personal life.

“I had kind of a situation with a woman before, not a sexual relationship and we hadn’t kissed or anything,” he explained. But then there was the kiss with Charlotte. I didn’t think it was that important or anything.

“So weirdly kissing her in my professional life I was like, well maybe I should do that for real in my personal life and see how it goes, which I did,” she laughed.

He went on, saying that if the on-screen kiss had never happened, he might never have “met” his now-girlfriend, Ramona Agruma.

The Almond and the Seahorse was filmed in 2021, while Rebel noted that he had met Ramona at the end of the year.

It’s Rebel’s first dramatic role, playing an archaeologist dealing with her husband’s traumatic brain injury that leads her to start having an affair.

The film opens on December 16 and will be available to watch on Apple TV and Prime Video.

Wilson went on to express how grateful she was to her surrogate, saying, “I can’t even describe the love I have for her, it’s such a beautiful miracle!”
