The Voice: Omar Jose Cardona gets instantly saved after coach John Legend ‘stunned’ by voting result
Omar José Cardona made an instant save on Tuesday’s episode of The Voice after his trainer John Legend admitted to being ‘shocked’ that he finished in the bottom four.
The 34-year-old singer from Orlando, Florida, turned all four chairs during blind auditions and delivered a stellar rendition of Celine Dion’s power ballad “My Heart Will Go On” Monday as the eight finalists performed.
“Omar, I’m surprised you’re in this position,” John, 43, said as Omar was forced to compete against Kim Cruse, Justin Aaron and Parijita Bastola for the fifth and final spot in the season 22 finale.

John noted that Omar had impressed them every week with his performances and said that his voice was ‘just amazing’.

Show host Carson Daly, 49, announced that Omar made an instant save and advanced to the finale as the hour-long results episode came to a close.
The episode opened with Carson introducing the trainers and Gwen Stefani, 53, showing off a dramatic new look in a long black wig.

Blake’s singer, Bryce Leatherwood, 22, of Georgia, was the first contestant to reach the finale when Carson announced the results of the viewer vote.
John also performed his song Nervous which began with him playing the piano in a jungle setting.

Morgan Myles, 35, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was next to advance representing new trainer Camila Cabello, 25.
“I’m so proud of you,” Camila told Morgan.
Los Angeles singer Bodie, 29, of Blake’s team, was announced as the third runner-up.

Blake’s teen singer, Brayden Lape, 15, of Grass Lake, Michigan, was named fourth finalist.
Carson described it as a ‘clean sweep’ for Blake and his ‘Killer B’s’ of Bryce, Bodie and Brayden who reached the final.
Parijita, 17, of Baltimore, performed Make You Feel My Love for her instant performance, while Kim, 30, of Woodville, Texas, sang All By Myself and Justin, 34, of Junction City, Kansas, delivered Made A Way.
Bottom Four: Parijita Bastola, Kim Cruse, Justin Aaron and Omar finished in the bottom four and were forced to compete against each other for the instant save.

Blake had three singers going to the finale, John had one, and Camila had one too.
Gwen will be without a singer in the finale for the third time in her six seasons as a coach.
