The Disneyland suicide case came more than a week after TikTok star Megha Thakur died unexpectedly at the age of 21 after dealing with suicidal thoughts and a recent anxiety-induced heart attack just four months before her death.
Thakur of Ontario, Canada, passed away in the early morning of November 24.
He recently revealed that he had suffered a heart attack in July, which is believed to have been caused by stress and his constant anxiety.
Thakur began posting on TikTok in 2019 and focused her content on body positivity and self-confidence, but admitted in October 2020 that she had been “down for years” before developing that confidence that people know her for and loves her
“I was depressed for years. It was horrible, I didn’t want to be alive anymore and I almost lost my life,” he revealed in the October 2020 post.
“Too many people choose suicide over getting better because mental health awareness isn’t where it should be.
‘You should look for ways to improve your mental health literacy to help yourself and others, regardless of how much you think you already know.
‘It may be world mental health day, but today won’t be the only day I talk about it. Remember to take care of yourself too. You are important.’
His cause of death has not been disclosed.
