Kysaiah Pickett left it late to seal a thrilling victory for reigning premiers Melbourne as the Demons forward kicked through with just 15 seconds remaining in a contender for game of the season.
In a game that had more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie murder-mystery, Carlton held a one-point lead in the final knockings of a pulsating match at the MCG before the ball was sent deep into Melbourne’s forward 50.
Jake Melksham managed to shove the ball in the direction of Pickett who, off balance, hooked the ball through the posts to send the Demons masses into sheer pandemonium.
