Fans see funny side of dour Havertz with Man of the Match trophy after Germany’s World Cup exit

Kai Havertz was less than thrilled to have to collect his Man of the Match award following Germany’s shock World Cup elimination.

The Chelsea striker scored a brace after coming on as a second-half substitute in a 4-2 win over Costa Rica on Thursday night.

Japan topped Group E with six points following their 2-1 win over the Spanish and will face Croatia in the round of 16, while Spain will take on Morocco.
