Emmerdale cast Will Ash as Cain Dingle’s long-lost brother – with the character’s arrival on Christmas Day set to spark MORE drama between the mechanic and sister Chas
Emmerdale has cast Will Ash as Caleb Miligan, Cain Dingle’s long-lost brother.
The well-connected and successful businessman will come to town unexpectedly on Christmas Day, much to the surprise of Cain (Jeff Hordley) – of whom Caleb has many “tough questions.”
However, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) is in for an even bigger shock as Cain has kept his existence a secret from her since they were teenagers – and the revelation is bound to cause even more drama between the feuding siblings.

Speaking of his new role, 45-year-old Will – who is famous for his role as Chris Mead in Waterloo Road – said: ‘I’m thrilled to be taking part in such an iconic show.
“Emmerdale is packed with fantastic actors and I’m really looking forward to working with them. Caleb is a fantastically complex character and I can’t wait to get involved.”
Meanwhile, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Will Ash to the village. It’s fantastic to have such a high caliber and immensely talented actor on our amazing team. ‘
She continued, “Caleb, coming into the picture on Christmas Day, has got to be the most unexpected and shocking Christmas present Cain and Chas have ever received!

Quiet and collected, wealthy and successful, on the surface Caleb is everything his brother isn’t, but will the pair discover they have more in common than they thought?
What secrets from the past will haunt them and how will the rest of the family react when Caleb walks into town?

With Caleb’s arrival to sedate Chas, there’s sure to be more fireworks between her and brother Cain – who is currently languishing in prison over the murder of Chas’s secret lover Al Chapman.

And as Chas secretly mourns the loss of the man she loved, little does she know that her brother wasn’t Al’s killer, but in fact Cain’s young son Kyle, who pulled the trigger during the confrontation in the barn.
During a recent prison break with her brother, she expressed her fear that Chloe Harris – the long-lost daughter of Al’s fiancée Kerry Wyatt – is about to discover who betrayed her mother with the late businessman.
She told Cain she was “sick and tired” of keeping her love for Al a secret, admitting that she was “dying inside” before begging her sibling not to tell the truth to her husband Paddy Kirk.

However, furious at his sister’s selfishness – with her affair liaisons with Al, prevented her from attending when their mother Faith Dingle died.
After admitting that he would have told Paddy the truth if he didn’t think the betrayal would kill him, Cain boiled, “Don’t come visit me again, for you are as dead to me as our mother.”
It’s only a matter of time before Chas discovers the truth about Al and Cain, but Caleb’s arrival will drive even bigger wedges between the siblings.
