Lionel Messi’s stunning wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, was spotted jumping from her seat in the stands as she watched her husband – one of the biggest stars of the World Cup in Qatar – kick off an early penalty in Doha today with his selection.
The 34-year-old – who herself has more than 22 million followers on Instagram – flew to Qatar last week to support her childhood sweetheart, from the couple’s lavish Parisian home.
Her husband’s first appearance was unnerving, however, as the underdogs Saudi Arabia took the lead early in the second half, after Messi’s penalty was reversed just before half-time.
The glamorous WAG, mother of the couple’s three sons Thiago, nine, Mateo, six, and Ciro, four, is enjoying a life of luxury in the French capital after her footballing husband signed a two-year contract with Paris Saint in 2021 -Germain. .

The good friends clearly enjoyed their night out in the sultry Middle Eastern city. Ibiza is a regular holiday destination for the two women, enjoying yachting holidays and luxury hotel holidays with their respective husbands – who played together in Barcelona.
On Instagram, Antonela shares snaps from her glamorous European travels, posing in her bikinis and next to her husband and their three children.
Messi, regarded by many as the greatest player of all time, married Antonela on June 30, 2017 in a glitzy wedding in their hometown of Rosario.

Guests at their wedding checked into the city’s five-star, 188-room Pullman Hotel, with teammates Gerard Pique and then pop star wife Shakira, Luis Suarez and Neymar attending the glitzy nuptials.
Antonela wore an exuberant dress by Spanish designer Rosa Clara, known for her A-list wedding dresses.
In 2019, Argentina’s La Capital newspaper uncovered a touching photo of the footballer and the mother of their three sons as children, nearly two decades before they became husband and wife, enjoying themselves in the Atlantic resort of Punta Mogotes.
At the time, Messi was playing in a youth football tournament in the nearby town of Balcarce.
Antonela, who was about to turn 10 and was already a close friend of the footballer, had traveled to the area with her parents to see her cousin Lucas Scaglia, who was one of Messi’s teammates.
The photo, which shows the pair with other children including Lucas and another teammate named Matias Pecce, was taken in January 1998.
Ms. Messi has been by her husband’s side in every major triumph – including winning the Ballon d’Or a record seven times in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2021.
And Antonela will hope that lifting the World Cup, a feat the celebrated footballer has so far evaded, is still on the cards.
