Emma Watkins admits she was nervous about her new role in Nine’s Lego Masters Australia Brickmas special

Former Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins has spoken out about starring in Channel Nine’s Lego Masters Brickmas special.

Speak against Nine entertainment this week, Emma admitted that she hasn’t played with Lego “since she was a kid,” but was still up for the challenge.

“We make up all our own sets and props [her show] Emma Memma, so I felt like I had some practice on visual concepts and putting things together,” she said.

Emma has been paired with Gerhard ‘G’ on the show and she admitted that he helped calm her nerves amid the stiff competition.

“It’s such an interesting mix of participants because everyone has a very creative brain,” she said of her rival co-stars.

‘Pooh [Ling Yeow] for example, is so used to making dishes from scratch…Darren [Palmer]clearly just has a knack for aesthetics, and Lincoln [Lewis]As an actor, he has great ideas about making scenes and how people come into contact with each other.’

The special kicks off Sunday and the show is expected to draw large numbers thanks to the popularity of Lego Masters.

Hosted by Hamish Blake, it is held on two consecutive Sundays.

It comes after Emma recently revealed her endometriosis and talked about how it would affect her plans for a family.

Emma tied the knot with husband Oliver Brian on May 1.

She revealed to The Daily Telegraph that same month that she wasn’t sure if she could ever fulfill her dream of becoming a mother.

“To be honest, I just don’t know if I’ll be able to do that,” she said.

Emma went on to say she was “pretty realistic” about her chances after her long battle with the painful condition.

“If it happens that would be great, if it doesn’t happen that’s fine too.”

Endometriosis involves tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — growing outside your uterus.

LEGO Masters Bricksmas Special will air on Sunday 20th and 27th November at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
