A mother, her daughter and disabled stepdaughter were fatally stabbed in the neck early Friday morning at a New York City home as police searched for a suspect, who is the relative of one of the women.
Police are looking for a relative of the dead, who apparently fled the house at 5 a.m., according to a senior official.
They said the murders appear to be domestic, but there is no known history of domestic violence at the address. Police confirmed it was not a murder-suicide.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams arrived on the scene Friday afternoon and said, “our hearts go out to the families.”

The gruesome discovery was made in the Brookeville section of the township, close to Long Island.
The trio was found around 9:30 a.m. and one of the victims was bedridden.
An NYPD spokesperson had no further details when DailyMail.com contacted him.
