The 59-year-old Pulp Fiction director is making an 11th and final feature film before putting on his director’s cap.

‘I’ve been doing it for a long time; I’ve been doing it for 30 years,” he said in an interview with from CNN Chris Wallace. “And it’s time to wrap up the show.”

The Tennessee native has already directed 10 critically acclaimed films, though he considers the Kill Bill films to be one film rather than two.

The two-time Academy Award winner made it clear that he no longer wanted to make films and drift further away from his audience.

“I don’t want to become this old man out of touch when I already feel like a bit of an old man out of touch when it comes to the current movies that are coming out now,” he explained.

While he knows his next movie will be his last, the Reservoir Dogs director said he doesn’t yet know what the plot of that movie will be.

“Right now I don’t even know what a movie is — is that something that plays on Netflix? Is that something that plays on Amazon and people watch it on their couch with their wives or their husbands? Is that a movie?’ he said.

Because my last film premiered in 3,000 cinemas and played all over the world for a few months.’

While there’s been some talk in recent years about Tarantino potentially making a third Kill Bill movie, there’s been little new information on that front.
