Married At First Sight’s Samantha Moitzi says she’s happy to see her former “husband” Al Perkins on screen on Love Island Australia because he’s “better suited” to the show than MAFS.

Speaking to fans on Instagram, the 27-year-old fashion designer suggested that Al wasn’t ready for a serious relationship when he signed up for Married At First Sight.

‘I mean from… I don’t know, maybe not on the first day [of MAFS] but it was clear to me pretty quickly that Al and I wanted very different things,” she said.

“I think Love Island suits him much better, his personality and what he’s looking for. I wish him all the best and I hope he finds what he’s looking for.’

“So I think it’s really good for him. He’s hilarious and he had a really good time. I don’t want to give too much away, but it was great for him.’

She went on to say that the casting decision to get Al on board was “perfect,” revealing that he wasn’t like some of the other reality TV personalities.

“He’s just a really sweet, innocent boy. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He sometimes speaks without thinking, and I don’t even know if it will work out sometimes, but he’s hilarious,” she said.
