Joel Glazer ‘will make the final decision on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Man United’ after the striker berated owners for ‘not caring about them’ and made them a ‘marketing club’ in telling interview
Manchester United co-owner Joel Glazer will have the final say on the future of rowdy striker Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese legend’s infamous interview.
Having sources close to Glazer claimed that the American will ultimately make the final decision on the striker, and that it will be up to super-agent Jorge Mendes to present willing suitors to the club to secure a move.
The 37-year-old striker shot numerous figures of the club past and present before taking aim at their owners for ‘not caring about the team’.

In the explosively revealing interview with Piers Morgan, the rowdy striker made accusations against the club’s already unpopular owners.
He said, ‘Manchester [United] is a marketing club, they get their money from marketing, I don’t think they’re really interested in sports.’
He also suggested that the club’s supporters continue to protest against the American owners, adding: “The fans are always right. I think the fans should know the truth – should the players now… we want the best for the club.

Ronaldo hit back at Wayne Rooney after saying his actions were ‘unacceptable’
“I want the best from the club. This is why I come to Manchester United. That’s why I like this club.’
With his contract due to expire in the summer, Ronaldo is free to talk to clubs from abroad this winter, and he will surely be on the verge of leaving now given the number of bridges he appears to have burned.
And the Glazers weren’t the only victims of Ronaldo’s attack, with him openly admitting no respect for current manager Erik ten Hag.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner said he felt United had ‘betrayed’ him and attacked club legends Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney over criticism of his behavior at the club, particularly his refusal to come off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur.
He also stated that he had never heard of former manager Ralf Rangnick before he took over at Old Trafford last season, and was critical of the club’s lack of technological progress since his departure nearly 13 years ago.
Ronaldo’s interview was not approved by the club and featured attacks on various figures from the club’s past and present
The top men at United are said to be impressed with Ten Hag’s handling of the seemingly ongoing Ronaldo situation, especially after he dropped the Portuguese icon from the first team and instructed him to train alone.
And the club released a statement after the unapproved interview, saying: ‘Manchester United take note of media coverage of an interview with Cristiano Ronaldo. The club will consider its response after the full facts are established.
Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness that is being built between the players, manager, staff and fans.”
He said there are several people at the club trying to push him out the door
