The Harry Potter star, 81, is reportedly set to appear alongside recurring stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate in upcoming episodes, set to air in 2023, following Jodie Whittaker’s departure from the titular role last month.
According to sources, Miriam was a “natural choice” to appear in the role in the upcoming episodes.
