AFL 2022: Inside Tayla Damir and Nathan Broad’s luxury honeymoon in Bali

Newlyweds Tayla Damir and Nathan Broad are having a blast on their honeymoon in Bali.

The 25-year-old Love Island Australia alumnus shared a gallery of photos on Instagram on Monday as they checked into another luxury hotel.

She told her 508,000 followers that she was “so excited” to explore the five-star location.

Tayla and Nathan, a three-time AFL premiership player, arrived at the Ayana Segara Bali resort, which is nestled among tropical gardens and offers panoramic views of Jimbaran Bay.

The WAG described the destination as “heaven” while sharing details of their stay.

“During our honeymoon, Ayana contacted us to come and stay at their new hotel at their Ayana Segara resort,” she explained.

“When I say I’m obsessed, I’m not exaggerating. We just tried to cancel our next hotel to stay here longer.’

Tayla shared several snaps from the hotel, including their suite featuring two swan-shaped origami towels and a bunch of flowers, as well as a photo of the couple enjoying sunset drinks by the pool.

She and Nathan also went to a secluded beach where they took more pictures.

Tayla and Nathan tied the knot in the Gold Coast hinterland last month.

The couple got married in front of their family, friends and fellow influencers, all of whom were banned from using their phones while the bride walked down the aisle.

She told earlier The Herald Sun she and the Richmond player planned to follow the “unplugged” wedding trend by asking guests not to use recording equipment.

“When I walk down the aisle, I want to see everyone’s face instead of the backs of phones, so in that case it’s probably going to be a phoneless wedding,” she explained.

Rather than banning phones altogether, the couple appears to have allowed guests to take photos at certain times during the wedding and reception, and it also appears that guests were asked not to post until after the festivities.

Tayla was the epitome of elegance in a white floral dress from Oglia-Loro Couture, while the groom looked sleek in a classic MJ Bale tuxedo.

The model’s lace dress trailed on the floor behind her, and she had styled her dark brown hair into a neat bun and covered it with a long veil.

Tayla posted their gorgeous wedding photos to Instagram on Tuesday, alongside the caption, “Mr and Mrs Broad – 17.10.22.”

Other images showed the couple, who began dating in late 2019, posing atop a hill against the idyllic backdrop of the surrounding countryside.

It comes after Tayla recently revealed she would like to get married before having children with Nathan, citing her “traditional” upbringing.

“I’m traditional in the sense that ideally I’d like to get married first, but then the baby-making can start,” she said in a Q&A on Instagram.

She announced her engagement to Nathan in June 2021 by posting a video on Instagram of the moment her boyfriend proposed to her.
