The England players have arrived at St George’s Park before traveling to Qatar for their week-long World Cup opener against Iran, trading the fog and mist of Burton for the sunny 30°C climate of Doha.
The Three Lions stars appear to be in good spirits as they greeted each other on England’s training ground, excited to represent their country at this month’s tournament.
James Maddison showed no discomfort from the injury he sustained in Leicester’s win over West Ham on Saturday and looked pleased to be back at Burton base.

The squad travels to Doha tomorrow, before starting first practice on Wednesday and media duties on Sunday.
England will then begin their World Cup campaign against Iran on Monday, with a kick-off time of 1pm, prompting many fans to settle on how best to watch Gareth Southgate’s men open their tournament.
They will then face off against the US and Wales in Group B, the only World Cup group to have three teams in the top 20 of the FIFA rankings.
The players will return to Premier League action on Boxing Day, just eight days after the World Cup final has taken place.
