Who is Lewis’ Capaldi’s rumoured new girlfriend Ellie MacDowell?

She is a triple threat – trained in acting, dancing and singing.

And after she was pictured with singer Lewis Capaldi, MailOnline takes a look at the woman who is said to have captured the singer’s heart.

Ellie MacDowell is an actress, who, like Lewis, hails from Scotland, originally from Edinburgh.

She is approximately 23 years old to Lewis’ 26 and graduated from the MGA Academy of Performing Arts in 2020.

Ellie studied Dance for Commercial Performance for three years and is now an accomplished professional dancer.

She is trained in Ballet, Commercial Dance, Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Jazz Dancing, Latin American, Lyrical Dance, Modern Dance, Pas de Deux and Tap.

She has a 627 subscriber YouTube channel where she has shared some of her incredible performances, including a steamy duet with a male partner for Jennifer Lopez’s Let’s Get Loud.

The actress is 5’5 ft tall, with long brown locks and piercing green eyes which have helped her to get many modeling opportunities.

She and Lewis also have music in common as Ellie was also trained in singing while in college.

She is also adept at many sports including athletics, badminton, cycling, football climbing, horse riding, sailing, tennis and hockey while reportedly being ‘very proficient’ at skiing and holding a motorboat license.

This year, Ellie will also star in the new biopic Archie, which stars actor Carey Grant.

The four-part drama series spans its humble beginnings in the UK to its phenomenal success in America.

Ellie plays the role of his daughter, Jennifer Grant, in the series, which airs on ITV’s new streaming service, ITVX.

Ellie has 330 followers on Twitter and 2,332 followers on Instagram, including Lewis himself.

She regularly posts photos of herself hanging out with friends, modeling shoots and posing in bikinis, showing off her incredibly toned figure.

Lewis was previously in a relationship with Love Island winner Paige Turley from 2014 to 2016 after they met in college in Motherwell.

She is said to have been the source of inspiration for his hit album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent and his hit, Someone You Loved.

Lewis previously spoke about the inspiration for the record: ‘I met a lady. She was very nice. I loved her. I loved the look of her and I loved the way she spoke.

‘We had a relationship for a year and a half, then she left me. Then I wrote an album about it and I still think about it every day.’

It was then reported that he dated college student Catherine Halliday for seven months before breaking up in September 2020.

Lewis revealed he was on dating app Hinge after being thrown off Tinder and Bumble because people thought he was posing as Lewis Capaldi.

When asked why he used dating apps, he said, “I like hanging out with new people and . . . fuck and that, I guess’.

‘If I met the right person, I would be captivated. But right now it’s a bit unfair to the other, they should be a very understanding human being.

‘And children? That’s not in my plans at the moment. One of my friends has four kids and that’s not my bag at all.’

He added: “I’m also trying to work that out because I don’t want to use my fame, or to have any influence on anyone I’m dating.

‘What, should I only date people who are famous? That’s very strange.”

Speaking of what he looks for in a partner, Lewis previously joked, ‘I’d say good sense of humour, low standards, not too concerned about the size of certain things, a petite lady with small hands’.

He seems to have found what he was looking for in Ellie, after the couple made their way to his hotel at 4:30 a.m. Thursday after a romantic dinner.

A spectator told The sun: ‘They laughed and both laughed, they seemed to enjoy each other’s company very much.

“They walked to the hotel together, arm in arm, and paused at the front desk for a moment before going to the elevator.”
