Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Elma Averio has shared a series of Instagram stories in support of her brother after his amazing interview with Piers Morgan aired Sunday night.

During the interview, Ronaldo accused Ten Hag and the United managers of trying to force him out of the club. He went on to make fun of Wayne Rooney after his former team-mate criticized his behavior and then accused United of a lack of ’empathy’ following his daughters’ illness.

Averio has taken to Instagram to say that the ‘truth is being told’ and that she will ‘always be proud’ of Ronaldo – despite United fans criticizing him for ‘ruining his legacy’ at the club.

Ronaldo’s sister ended by sharing tweets in support of her brothers, in addition to love heart emojis.

Aveiro previously struck out at Ten Hag for changing the striker during United’s 0-0 draw against Newcastle.

Ronaldo got his second league start under the Dutch manager but lasted only 70 minutes before being replaced by Marcus Rashford.

Shortly after the match, Aveiro took to Instagram. She shared a screenshot of a news story titled: ‘Erik Ten Hag’s justification for replacing Cristiano Ronaldo’.

Aveiro wrote the accompanying caption: ‘It’s too late’ and added three sick-faced emojis – pointing out that the Dutch manager had officially burned all the bridges.

Ronaldo’s other sister, Katia, has also used social media more than once to support her brother.

Katia accused Portuguese fans of being ‘forever ungrateful’ after criticizing her Ronaldo’s performance for the national team in September.

Ronaldo had a rough night when Portugal played against Spain. The 37-year-old had some significant opportunities as his side lost 1-0 and missed the Nations League semi-finals.

Fans lashed out at Ronaldo’s display on social media, with some questioning whether he is still worthy of a place in the starting lineup.

Aveiro, however, jumped into Ronaldo’s defense, insisting the Manchester United attacker is still “the best player in the world”.

“He has his family and those who love him by his side. They will always be by his side no matter what,” Aveiro wrote of her brother on Instagram.

‘But the present time does not surprise me at all. The Portuguese spit on the plate they eat [from]that’s always been the case.

“Therefore, when someone appears from the ashes and changes their mind, it disturbs… Always with you, my king. Take it easy.

“It is necessary to shake hands with those who have always given theirs to Portugal. But the Portuguese are sick, petty, soulless, stupid, ungrateful and eternally ungrateful. This man sitting, he’s on his knees… There’s no one to lend him a hand,” she continued.

‘It’s cruel. And it was already so much, but so much that he gave and gives. The only one sitting is called Cristiano Ronaldo and he is simply the best player in the world.”

Ronaldo – who scored his 700th club goal in Manchester United’s win over Everton – is still eyeing a move to Old Trafford.

According to reports, his agent Jorge Mendes has “a clear mandate to find him a different club from his current one in the next transfer window.”

Two of the potential destinations that have been mentioned are Premier League giants Chelsea and his former club Real Madrid.
